Inspiration & Concept - This started as an experiment where I chose a piece of vintage paper (the orange toned cover of an old book in this case) and used acrylic paint in the complementary colour wheel colour (purple) to draw some of the shapes found in the same cover (three petals, concentric circles).

Medium & Techniques -  Vintage ephemera, acrylic, photographic collage elements, paint pens.

Visual Elements - Abstract shapes, complementary colours, reconstructed objects collage, hand lettering.

Process & Execution - I enjoyed creating the little stacks of individually cut gemstones sitting on the large petals using some contrasting green tones. I added some other contrasting collage elements such as money and grapes, and then the words wrote themselves.
