Inspiration & Concept - This started as an experiment of interactions between inks and soft pastels. I loved the colour combinations, and a tree emerged at some point.

Medium & Techniques -  Ink, soft pastels, gel pens, hand dyed paper, water soluble pastels.

Visual Elements - A walk in a dark wood, illumination, hand cut shapes, mark making.

Process & Execution - I played with hand cut shapes to create the foliage of the tree in an abstract way. I love the way the yellow water soluble pastel enabled me to create a glowing effect.
