Inspiration & Concept - This started with a moodier, darker background which made me think of being in a forest. I added the hills and leopard to build on this. I found a phrase in a book that I thought resonated with the leopard looking out over the scene.

Medium & Techniques -  Acrylic, paint pens, hand drawn/dyed paper collage, vintage collage, pastel, metallic shapes.

Visual Elements - The placement of the large leopard standing elevated and proud with the smaller leopard (ocelot) sitting low in the picture symbolises freedom and captivity. The ocelot has a rather nice looking cake (a meat cake hopefully) but has to eat it in a cage, while the larger leopard has to hunt for its food, but relishes its freedom.

Process & Execution - I brought the two sides of the piece together with the wind swept stream of leaves and glittery bits, with a bit of glitter touching both leopards.
