Inspiration & Concept - I did an artwork for a local art competition called Sunshine Susie (name inspired by the bright orange vintage sheet music cover) and wanted to create a version 2.

Medium & Techniques -  Acrylic, collage with hand dyed papers, vintage papers, photographs, and magazine images.

Visual Elements - Botanicals, landscape, characters, bold colours and textures.

Process & Execution - The idea was to create a maximalist landscape with brighter colours and more extreme textures than anything you would normally see in a landscape. I also explored the use of non-standard objects and motifs in place of traditional landscape elements e.g. a flower sun, a lightbulb plant.
